Ah, summers in New York City – there’s nothing quite like it. There’s a surge of good vibes on the street and an air of ease that can only culminate from a place that endures a hard winter. In lieu of summertime and sunshine, Jonathan and I hopped in a cab to enjoy the bout of good weather…only to be met with torrential downpour once stepping out into the marina. Luckily a little patience and strategic ducking from the rain eventually led us to Rockefeller Park, a slice of Tuscany in the heart of Battery Park. It was an unexpected place of respite among the sky scrapers towering above us, and also a kind reminder of how unpredictable this city can be. A city summer could not be complete without a great pair of shoes, and these M.Gemi sandals ensured that I stayed stylish even through the sleet of the rain.
