Autumn in New York City is as unpredictable as the city itself, and so dressing for the season in shift can become trickier to navigate than walking through SoHo on a Saturday afternoon. So how do I chart out the impossible of doing both? I’ve found that a fail proof formula is a pair of worn in denim, a silk blouse, and a neutral palette to keep the look seasonless. In this case, I styled my silk Trdmrk blouse and trusty Levi’s cut off shorts for an afternoon shop around SoHo, styled seamlessly with some nude accessories from Farfetch.
What I love about the mixture of worn-in denim and a pale pink blouse is the soft contrast it creates against the fabrics. Keeping the details monochromatic with soft-hued pinks keeps the look from going overboard, and I love the pop of the delicate gold chain that the J.W. Anderson Bag creates. It was also an opportune moment to break in a pair of strappy Chloe sandals I’ve been eager to break in for weeks – and there’s no better place than New York City to create a picture perfect back drop for this look.
These nude accessories are also a perfect compliment for the golden light and pale-hued buildings of Paris, which I’m currently reporting from al fresco. Can’t wait to share more with you how I style this JW Anderson and Super Sunglasses piece in the city of light, mixed in with chunky knits and blended wool coats for the 60 degree weather. Until then, follow along on my adventures on Instagram. Au revoir, off to get a daily dose of my cappuccino and a croissant!
