Not quite over weekend getaways to Palm Springs. Pretty soon my next trip will warrant switching out naked heels for a more comfortable pair of boots. This upcoming Coachella will be my sixth one up to date, and even though the line up gets increasingly lackluster, finding tickets becomes more difficult than searching for a pot of gold, and every year the festival becomes more of a networking gathering than a musical event–I will always love Coachella for all the good times and great memories. More than ever, I’m excited to see friends from opposite coasts and finally watching the Yeah Yeah Yeahs as well as a few of my friends bands performing this year’s line up. For those of you going, who are you looking forward to seeing the most?

Everytime I take a trip to San Francisco, I completely devote my time in pursuing one angle of the city. My last trip was all about visiting friends and absorbing the city’s amazing food culture, while the previous one before that was purely focused on vintage shopping. While I try to visit the city on my own leisure every season, I’ve somehow successfully managed to avoid any tourist destinations…until now. But it was a win-win, as the weather was at it’s prime and since early spring is considered off season for most travelers, my experiences visiting some of San Francisco’s most famous view points was a lot more personal than what I had expected. The only thing I wonder now is what I should devote my next trip to…

Spring is officially here, and I couldn’t have made a better decision to spend its first weekend with a trip to San Francisco. My wardrobe choices that’s heavily dependent on the season doesn’t become more clear until the transition from winter to spring. Just the week prior I had packed a suit case full of buttery leather motorcycle jackets and blue jeans for my trip to Austin, but Daylight Savings time and the imminent arrival of Easter candy on store shelves was a gentle reminder of all the warm days ahead…and just like that I’ve completely gravitated towards pastels again. Let’s just say I’m excited to incorporate more color into my wardrobe again. But first things first, I’m starting off the season fresh with a fail proof combination: White on white tossed on with a pop of lavender.
