The Hudson Lodge was my favorite part of my stay at Columbus Circle. Although it’s currently closed for the season, in between shows I would stop by to kick up my boots and unwind to the serenity that this outdoor-indoor hybrid had to offer. The ivy covered brick walls, woodland entertaining set, and fur throws scattered on an abundance of garden sofas could not have served better as an escape from all the Midtown Madness, more or less a distraction from the winter storm happening through the windows. Such a necessary escape when you’re from California and ill equipped for a real East Coast winter. But don’t worry, I made sure to pile on twenty more layers before heading out the door.
