balmain stripes

Capulet Leather Jacket / American Apparel Turtleneck / Motel Jordan Jeans / Loeffer Randall Mini Rider Bag / Neodan Patent Pumps

To say that I took a liking to Balmain‘s Spring/Summer 2013 collection would be an understatement. Balmain consistently delivers a collection that encompasses a strong, bold shouldered woman, and Olivier Rousteing newly behind the helm captured this very essence. Even though it seems that every designer is dipping into pin stripes and tile for spring, Balmain’s take was my favorite, combining a nostalgic 90′s throwback with all the cool modern day embellishments. Finding pieces from my closet that harnessed my obsession with Balmain this spring was surprisingly easy. These Motel jeans had been sitting in my “Donate” pile for almost six months, right until I found the ultimate moto jacket that puts an end to all other leather jackets at Wasteland a few months back to make the perfect pairing. Tossed on with the perfect Proenza cross body bag alternative sent over by Loeffer Randall and basic patent pumps I received to wear out to the W Mag x Guess event last week. There you have it! Balmain on a budget.

I love those Motel jeans, I have them I can’t believe you had them in the donate pile.

  21. Loving your latest looks Olivia! Having been a reader since the early days, it’s great to see your fashion style evolve! This black and white ensemble is chic, sophisticated yet still embodies that bold, “don’t hold back” attitude of your past looks. The turtleneck is a perfect touch, kind of Parisian chic with those striped cropped jeans.

Always a treat dropping by here.
