After what feels like two months and two weeks of living in hotel rooms and the terminals at the airport, I am finally home. Home meaning resting up for a week until I’m off to Magic Tradeshow to release my collaboration with Blaque Market then straight to New York for Fashion Week. Talk about a well rested summer. But before I bore you further with my itinerary, above is a snippet of my stay in Chicago. For the first few night’s rest I stayed at the prestigious Peninsula Hotel and took advantage of all their culinary and curbside offerings. There was the high tea at The Lobby and ordering in gold leaf desserts while watching the Olympics in the bath, then the unbeatable short stroll over to Saks Fifth Avenue and Top Shop on my way out to Lollapalooza with True Religion. Aside from the commercial and foodie captures, some of my highlights from the trip included celebrating a friend’s birthday on the 96th floor of the Hancock Tower, running around the festival with Caylee on Sunday’s set, and all the amazing food I got to experience throughout the stay. Publican Quality Meats, anyone? Cheers to my ongoing love affair with Chicago and more summers I’ll be spending around Michigan street and the Meat Packing District.
