If you could envision a city with sleek, Art Deco architecture scattered with tourists dressed to the nines and European-turned Miami locals walking around South Beach’s best hotel lobbies, this place is it. There is a tendency in blogging to over-glorify events in ways to make everything sound…wonderful, but this situation is not one of them. My trip to Miami Swim week has truly been a first class experience, all thanks to Bal Harbour Shops, Sofitel, and the memorable (and some favorably forgettable) experiences with my friends over at Socialyte.Whether it’s arriving at the Sofitel with a new treat (macarons, wine, or fresh orchids), or taking advantage of the non-stop flow of Moët at the Soho House, or just laughing our heads off in the van alongside Krystal, Laura, Erika, Jenni, Blake, Daniel and Rebecca, Miami Swim Week has set a high bar for future trips to South Florida. But now onto the details:
1. An unbelievable ocean front view from the penthouse floor of the Soho House / 2. The mouth-watering menu for the Bal Harbour Shop Brunch / 3. Closing the dinner with Key Lime Pie and more Moët / 4. Hanging with the beautiful Laura at Brunch / 5. Welcome sweets from The Sofitel / 6. Krystal wearing a gorgeous Proenza Schouler dress / 7. The Pour La Victoire Preview hosted by Laura / 8. A tropical barbecue at the Trina Turk fashion show / 9. Breakfast at the Sofitel with Socialyte / 10. Tropical view en route to the Bal Harbour beach / 11. At a Swim Presentation / 12. Krystal contemplating on Charlotte Olympia Heels vs. Tabitha Simmons at Neiman Marcus / 13. Lunch at Makoto in Bal Harbour / 14. Tory Burch presentation at The Delano Hotel / 15. Hanging out with Jenny / 16. Poolside lounging at the Delano with my new Noir sunglasses / 17. Chloe vs. Miu Miu / 18. A final treat from the folks from The Sofitel
