a moveable feast: san francisco edition

1. The yummiest Bánh mì sandwich from Bun Mee on Fillmore Street / 2. Floral shop off Bush  / 3. Witnessing the one and only Lone Cypress / 4. Lunch with Eugenia from Polyvore at Neiman’s / 5.  On the edge overlooking the coast wearing Celine Sunglasses, D.ra Blouse, Calvin Klein Jeans, and Alexander Wang Heels / 6. My first and last shot at trying out Foie Gras at Le Charm

There’s something about the food culture in San Francisco that is just incomparable to any other place I’ve visited in California. Hence my spin-off from one of Hemingway’s greatest novels, A Moveable Feast: San Francisco edition. Getting great food is widespread and not always expensive, and it seems that every corner has a hole-in-the-wall / mom and pop restaurant. One thing I’ve discovered is wherever there is great food, there are less chain restaurants. Well…I must admit, I also might be biased and have just filtered the bad ones out of my memory. The few foodstagrams above is just a small fraction of my last visit’s food-spotting. For those who are heading up to the bay, I recommend checking out these: The Cliffhouse for Seafood, Suppenküche for Bratwurst, The Rotunda at Neiman Marcus for high tea and gorgeous Atrium lit dining, and Bi-Rite for the best home made cream ever. Hope you enjoyed the post! x

Definitely sad that as a Californian I still have not been to SF! It’s funny that you posted that picture of the Lone Cypress, I actually was in Monterey County this past weekend for a vacation and did the 17 mile drive with my parents :) Glad you had a good time!

Yay, the food looks absolutely amazing!
So funny, though, that you can spell “bánh mì” with the.. tone indications? Is that how you say it in english? XD
    Perhaps you are Vietnamese? :)
Also love the picture with you. It’s rare to see you in only black&white, and it’s gorgeous.

I got married at the Cliffhouse. Love that place! So, did you hike up that hill in those fierce shoes or is that just for photo purposes?! I couldnt help but ask. They look great either way

    • Olivia says:

      Hi Brynn,
No I didn’t put them on for the photo, the cliff was on the side of the road so it was pretty simple popping out of the car and running up a small hill for the view :)
