There are places in the world that you dream of traveling to, and then there are places in the world carved from dreams. Twin Peaks are two hills on the highest point overlooking the city of San Francisco, and in that description, elevation itself promises the onlooker the best aerial view of the City by the Bay. Except when you’re in a city like San Francisco, a place where Mother Nature has lovingly carved bodies of water around the city and trees taller than buildings along the road, when the morning fog seeps in during sunrise, it’s hard not to believe that the scene ahead of you isn’t otherworldly. This was my first daybreak where I watched the moon meet the sun, and fought every single urgency to stop the car along each curve on the road to capture how the light filtered through the trees. The beauty of this city never eludes me.
